📄️ Workflow Automation Introduction
1. Introduction to Workflow Automation (WFA)
📄️ Creating a New Workflow
The OmegaAI Workflow Automation interface offers an intuitive layout for viewing, accessing, and managing automation workflows. Once you have accessed the WFA interface, you can begin creating a new workflow tailored to your organization’s requirements.
📄️ Understanding Triggers
Every workflow in OmegaAI begins with a Trigger Box, which appears by default on the canvas. A trigger is the starting event that activates a workflow. It is important to note that only one workflow can be active per trigger at any given time. If a trigger is already in use by an active workflow and you manually activate a new workflow using the same trigger, the existing workflow will be automatically deactivated to prevent conflicts.
📄️ Adding Conditions
Once a trigger is configured, the workflow editor allows you to add conditions. A condition is a logical filter applied to a workflow trigger. Conditions help refine the scope of the workflow, ensuring that actions occur only in relevant scenarios for specific studies, patients, or assignments. They offer precision and control, making sure automation applies only to the intended use cases. The system dynamically offers only relevant conditions based on the selected trigger type.
📄️ WFA Actions
Once a trigger and conditions are met, actions define what happens next. Actions are system responses performed when the defined conditions within a workflow are satisfied. The system dynamically offers only relevant actions based on the selected trigger and conditions.
📄️ Editing Workflow
Editing an existing workflow allows you to modify its components (triggers, conditions, actions) to align with evolving operational needs. It's important to remember that default workflows cannot be edited directly; only custom workflows or copies of default workflows can be modified.
📄️ Deleting Workflow
Deleting a workflow permanently removes it from the OmegaAI system. It is crucial to ensure you select the correct workflow, as deletion is irreversible. Default workflows cannot be deleted.
📄️ Copying Workflow
OmegaAI does not allow direct editing or deleting of default workflows to maintain consistency across client environments. However, if a default workflow does not align with your organizational needs, it can be copied and customized as a new, editable workflow.
