Blume & OAI Appointment Status Sync

Overview

The Blume Status Restructure ensures that appointment statuses displayed in the Blume platform remain synchronized with corresponding statuses in OmegaAI (OAI) and the associated Study Status. This alignment improves consistency across systems, reduces ambiguity for users, and ensures operational accuracy when appointments are created, updated, or completed.

This document describes the current Blume appointment statuses, how they are triggered, and how they synchronize with OmegaAI Appointment Statuses and Study Statuses.

Blume Appointment Statuses

For patients using Blume, appointment statuses are simplified and user-friendly. These statuses automatically reflect updates from OmegaAI (OAI).

These statuses keep patients informed about the current state of their appointment as it progresses.

Status Behaviour and Sync Rules

  • System-Driven Sync: Any appointment action performed in OmegaAI (create, confirm, cancel, reschedule, no-show) automatically updates the corresponding Blume appointment status.
  • Blume-Initiated Actions: Actions initiated in Blume (such as rescheduling or cancellation) are pushed to OmegaAI and reflected consistently across both systems.
  • Study Status Dependency: Certain Blume statuses (such as Completed) may depend on downstream study updates before the Study Status is finalized.
  • Single Source of Truth: OmegaAI remains the authoritative source for appointment lifecycle events, with Blume reflecting these updates in near real time.

Key Notes for Users

  • Blume statuses are not standalone; they always reflect the latest OmegaAI appointment state.
  • Status changes may appear sequentially depending on study updates (for example, scan completion vs. study completion).
  • No-show appointments are explicitly identified to distinguish them from cancellations.

Summary

The Blume Status Restructure provides a clear, synchronized view of appointment progress across Blume and OmegaAI. By aligning appointment and study statuses, users can confidently track scheduling outcomes and ensure operational consistency across platforms.
