Product Update: Image Upload Support in Document Viewer
Overview
You can now upload common image files directly as documents in the OmegaAI Document Viewer and Image Viewer. Uploaded images are automatically converted to PDF and stored as standard documents.

Image Upload as Documents
What changed:
The document upload workflow in the Document Viewer and Image Viewer now accepts common image file formats in addition to standard document types. When an image is uploaded, it is automatically converted to PDF at the time of upload and stored as a standard document — associated to the study, patient record, or accession number based on the upload context.
The following image formats are supported:
.jpg/.jpeg.png.bmp.tiff/.tif.gif
Benefit:
Users can upload image files directly without converting them to PDF manually before uploading. The converted document follows the same workflow as any other uploaded document.
Important Notes
- Upload is available only to users with document upload permissions.
- Existing file size limits apply to image uploads.
- Single image upload is supported in this release.
Where to Find It
Document Viewer → Studies → hover over study card → Upload → select an image file → choose document type → Upload
