Overview​

Soon the Send New Objects Only feature will be available. It will be a per-destination option that sends only the objects a destination doesn't already have, instead of re-transmitting the whole study.

What's New​

1. Send New Objects Only​

What changed:​

Today, re-sending a study transmits every object in it — including the ones the destination already received. When new objects arrive for a study that was already routed, the whole study goes out again.

Via the Send New Objects Only feature, prior to transmission, OmegaAI Link asks the destination which objects it already holds and sends only the ones that are missing. Because the answer comes from the destination at the moment of sending, there is no stored history to drift out of date — and no time limit on how long after the first Send New Objects can arrive.

Benefits:​
  • It covers every DICOM object in a study — not only images.
  • Destinations that can't answer an instance-level DICOM query will continue to receive the full study, so nothing is ever skipped on uncertainty.

Important Notes​

  • The feature will be a per-destination setting on the DICOM Station, off by default, and it will apply to every send path: automatic routing, the Workflow Automation Send Study action, and manual sends.

  • Existing destinations keep behaving exactly as they do today until the option is switched on.
