Page Breaks in Reports

The Page Break feature in the OmegaAI Document Viewer allows administrators and reporting users to insert explicit page breaks at any point within a report template. When a report is generated as a PDF — either in Preview or as a Final report — all content following a page break marker begins on a new page.

This feature is available in both the report template and the Document Viewer editor, across all sections, and is not restricted to specific content types or areas.

Inserting a Page Break

To insert a page break in a report:

  • Open the Document Viewer and navigate to the report you want to edit.
  • Place the cursor at the position in the report where the page break should occur.
  • In the Document Viewer text editor toolbar, click the Page Break button.

A horizontal line marker is inserted at the cursor position, visually indicating the location of the page break within the editor.

Note: The page break marker is displayed as a horizontal rule in the editor interface. This marker does not affect the visual layout within the editor itself; the page break is applied only when the report is rendered as a PDF.

Page Break Behaviour in PDF Output

Once a page break is inserted, the following behaviour applies during PDF generation:

  • PDF Preview: Content following the page break marker begins on a new page when the report is opened in PDF Preview.
  • Final PDF Report: Content following the page break marker begins on a new page in the signed, finalized PDF report.

This behaviour is consistent across all sections of the report template.
