Embedded Document Viewer (EDV) – Enhanced Integrated Reporting Workflow

The Embedded Document Viewer (EDV) introduces a unified and efficient reporting experience by enabling radiologists and physicians to view DICOM images, navigate prior studies, and document findings—all within a single interface in the OmegaAI Image Viewer. This enhancement supports advanced diagnostic workflows, and complex reporting needs while ensuring accuracy, traceability, and ease of use.

The EDV replaces the older document viewer experience with a modern, flexible, and fully integrated panel that works in harmony with the Image Viewer.

1. Accessing the Embedded Document Viewer

To open the EDV:

  1. Sign in to OmegaAI.
  2. Go to the Worklist.
  3. Select the desired study.
  4. Right-click to open the Omega Dial → choose Image Viewer.
  5. Inside the Image Viewer:
    1. Study Explorer appears on the left (All / Current / Prior).
    2. DICOM images open in the central canvas.
  6. Click the EDV icon on the top-right toolbar to open the document viewer beside the images.

The EDV panel will slide in, displaying the study report (Preliminary or Final) in a collapsible, navigable format.
