Measurement Panel

Overview​

The Measurement Panel in OmegaAI is a dedicated interface component for managing and reviewing measurements and annotations created within the Image Viewer. It is located on the right side of the Image Viewer. By default, the panel remains collapsed; clicking the panel icon expands it to reveal a comprehensive set of tools for navigating, editing, and organizing measurement data.

Accessing the Measurement Panel​

To open the Measurement Panel:

  1. Locate the Measurement Panel icon on the right side of the Image Viewer.

  2. Click the icon to expand the drawer and display all measurement-related tools and entries.

Functionality of the Measurement Panel​

  1. Navigate to Measurement
  • Click on a Measurement Label to jump directly to the exact frame or slice where the selected measurement appears.
  1. Visibility Toggle

  • Each measurement includes an eye icon on the left.

  • Click the eye icon to show or hide that specific measurement in the viewport.

  • Visibility changes (show/hide settings) applied within the Measurement Panel are temporary.

  • After refreshing the browser or logging in again, all measurements become visible by default.

  • These visibility choices do not affect other users.

2. Editing Annotations and Measurement labels

  • Hover over any measurement entry to reveal the edit (pen) icon.

  • Click the pen icon to rename measurement label or modify the annotation texts.

3. User Identification

  • A circular badge displaying the initials of the user who created the measurement appears beside the entry.

  • Hovering over this badge shows the full name of the user for reference and audit clarity.

4. Deleting Measurements

  • Click and hold the Delete option next to the measurement to remove it from both the viewport and the panel.

5. Filtering Measurements

The Measurement Panel supports filtering measurement items by type, including:

  • Measurements

  • Annotations

  • Structured Report (SR) objects

  • CAD findings

Use the Filter dropdown at the top of the panel to select the desired category. The default selection is All.

Deleting Measurements Outside the Panel​

  • Pressing the Delete key on the keyboard removes the most recently created measurement or the currently selected one.

  • This functionality works even if the Measurement Panel is not open.

Save Bookmarks Feature​

  • When the Save Bookmarks, toggle is enabled, all markups and measurements (e.g., lengths, angles, labels, and annotations) are automatically saved in the Measurements Panel, allowing them to persist across future viewing sessions.

Note: OmegaAI supports DICOM 6K annotations; however, these annotations do not appear in the Measurement Panel.
